Even with modern technology and nicely paved roads driving from one side of Canada to the other is an epic journey. While the whole world has changed since 1912 and his journey was one of a different nature Findlay showed determination and ingenuity in his quest to acquire the vehicle which originally made the journey and repeat it. Findlay had to spend years searching for a 1912 SEO in working condition. When he did, he rebuilt much of the car to make it road worthy for such a long journey. The car was able to drive all the way across Canada without a problem.

While Findlay had the advantage of being able to take a highway, it is an incredible feet for an 84 year old to drive across such a vast distance in a car older than he is. This story inspiring and demonstrates what people can accomplish if they really want to. It is refreshing to know that there are still romantics like Findlay showing what length humans will go to live their dreams.
